How this briefing is produced
Drafted by machine, published by decision. The Weekly Briefing differs from the Daily Brief. The Daily Brief's signal layer is deterministic and automated; this briefing is a synthesis, and every edition begins as a machine-generated draft. No draft reaches this page automatically. Each is staged outside the published index, reviewed and edited by an analyst, and released by an explicit publish step. The review is the gate, not a formality.
Sourced per item. Each item carries its own primary sources. Where a claim could not be sourced to a primary record, it is removed before publication rather than published with a hedge.
Neutral by default. The briefing reports what changed and why it bears on evidence and assurance practice. It does not advocate on pending legislation.
Immutable, with corrections. Once published, an edition is never silently edited. Errors are corrected by appended, timestamped correction notices, and the full archive remains browsable.
